As more high school students enroll in dual credit and early college STEM courses, educators face the challenge of ensuring these students are fully prepared for the rigor of college-level coursework. Many students struggle with foundational knowledge, academic habits, and problem-solving skills, leading to gaps that can hinder their success in higher education.
This interactive session will bring together STEM high school instructors to collaboratively identify common challenges faced by dual enrollment students and develop strategies to bridge these gaps. Through guided discussion and structured brainstorming, participants will:
-    Explore key areas where students often struggle in STEM dual enrollment courses, including content knowledge, critical thinking, and independent learning skills.

-    Share best practices and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student readiness for college-level expectations.

-    Develop action plans to strengthen curriculum alignment, instructional approaches, and support systems for dual enrollment students.

-    Network with fellow educators to build a community of practice for ongoing collaboration and resource-sharing.
Whether you are new to dual enrollment instruction or have years of experience, this session will provide valuable insights and practical solutions to help students thrive in STEM courses at both the high school and college levels.
