About me
I'm Susie Kapeleris. I joined the full time English Faculty in 2023, after working as an adjunct instructor for multiple institutions for 12 years. Having worked in public schools, public charters, special education, English, humanities, middle school, and high school, I've worked with a wide range of students, all of which helped prepare me for the opportunities and challenges of the community college environment. My graduate degree specialized in humanities, but I have taught philosophy, humanities, english language learners and composition courses over the course of my career. My teaching approach is one of inclusion, kindness and recognizing the unique story everyone has to share.
